Foothill Tech students took the opportunity to blend their own smoothie using power generated by pedaling a bicycle. The smoothie bike drew a crowd of onlookers, many of whom were waiting for their chance to make a delicious smoothie.

Lori Walker, the head lunch lady of Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech), is a vital part of the community, helping run the school cafeteria from her small yet influential office located at the heart of Foothill Tech’s Spirito Hall. She welcomes everyone with a kind smile and charming personality, always willing to help anyone in need. She is such a vital part of the Foothill Tech community and can be easily considered one of Foothill Tech’s Hidden Heroes.

The Christmas tree and lights are placed in the center of Main St. in Downtown Ventura. There are signs along this road informing pedestrians where to buy greeting cards and souvenirs to learn more about Ventura, Calif. Downtown Ventura has been bustling with live music, merchant booths and people riding and skating throughout town ever since a section of Main St. was closed to vehicles. Additionally, the city made tables and chairs available for individuals to use outside if needed.

Rosa Vorba is a new Spanish teacher at Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech). She brings knowledge and experience to the Spanish department and AVID 9 program. Vorba has been teaching for two years in Simi Valley before starting her new journey at Foothill Tech. Vorba is poised to guide students towards excellence in their Spanish language studies and in the AVID program.
