The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys golf team swung into the 2025-26 season in hopes of tracking down a victory. Although the team held highly skilled athletes, their season was short-ended as they didn’t advance into California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) playoffs. Their overall season record was 5-5, along with a similar league record of 3-3.
Despite not obtaining a record that leaned towards success, individuals like Ben Markov ’27 and Sebastian Huovinen ’27 were competitive stars on the team. Markov had a high score of 37 strokes for the season, generally playing nine holes. Huovinen would follow closely with 38 strokes. Together they held consistent low scores throughout the year for their team, and both would advance into league prelims. They were eventually eliminated in league semi-finals.
The team looks forward to new skill from incoming freshman and the consistency of players like Markov and Huovinen, in their 2026-27 season.
