For the 2026 winter season of girls water polo, Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) qualified for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Girls’ water polo Championships in division three.
Despite their efforts, the Dragons suffered a 13-19 defeat to Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) High School in the playoffs. However, the girls still managed to attain a 11-6 record overall with a 4-2 league record, guaranteeing them second place in the Tri-Valley league.
Due to their triumphs in the water, the girls ended their season with a National and California rank of 137. The strategic play that brought the Dragons into CIF was lead by the teams seniors, Larissa Myers ‘26, Caroline Vanderkooij ‘26, Jaelisa Lozano-Rivera ‘26, Lauren Happle ‘26 and Kira Pruitt ‘26. The Dragons will continue to conquer the water without their seniors in the next winter season.
