The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys basketball team had a good season over the 2025-26 school year. The Dragons finished their season 3rd with a score of 5-3 in the Tri-Valley League. They made it to the first round of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Playoffs, but ultimately lost to Carter High School, ending their season.

The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys basketball team came into the 2025-26 season strong with momentum following their successful 2024-25 season. The Dragons ended their season with an overall record of 15-11, and a league record of 5-3, placing third.

Through this strong record, the Dragons advanced to the Division 6 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) playoffs. Foothill Tech would ultimately have an early end to their season after facing Carter High School in the first round, where they suffered a 56-72 loss.

A memorable victory for the Dragons was a close 59-48 win over Thacher school. In this night, Foothill Tech celebrated their eight seniors; Nick Turner ‘26, Ashton Brown ‘26, Elijah Spencer ‘26, Gregory Davis ‘26, Erik Hernandez ‘26, Brody Baker ‘26, Zaiden Archuleta ’26 and Daniel Rios ‘26. Although the Dragons lost 8 seniors after this competitive season, they look forward to new momentum during the 2026-27 season.

On the night of Jan. 14, 2026 The Foothill Dragon's Boys Basketball team took on Bishop Diego in a very physical game, which ended with a score of 45-56 adding a loss to Foothill's record, which is now 12-8. Pictured is Ashton Brown '26 (number 11) dribbling past his defender and attempting to score for his team. In this game Brown suffered a cut on his finger temporarily taking him out of the game while he got it bandaged, before returning to the game and playing to the best of his abilities.
Boys basketball outplayed by Bishop Diego
On the chilly night of Jan. 7, 2026, Foothill Tech's Boys' Basketball team took on Highland High School in a close game, ending 50-40, in favor of the Dragons. This game was a nice refresh for the Dragons after their previous loss to Rio Mesa. Pictured is Nick Turner '26 (number 5) driving into the paint and getting a shot off over one of Highland's players. Turner had a great game, showcasing his endurance and skill through his impressive plays on both offense and defense.

Foothill Tech’s Ashton Brown ’26 drives toward the basket while being defended during a home game. Brown protects the ball and changes direction as he looks for an opening in the lane. His aggressive play and control on the dribble helped generate scoring opportunities for the Dragons throughout the contest.
Boys basketball takes down Fillmore High School
Foothill Technology High School boys basketball and boys soccer competed in several games from Dec. 9–14, experiencing both wins and losses. The boys basketball team won a close cross-town rivalry game against St. Bonaventure High School, finishing with a score of 49–46. The boys soccer team faced a tough week, losing matches to Cate School and Del Sol High School, bringing its record to 1–6 early in the season. Despite the different outcomes, both teams continued to work hard and show effort as their seasons move forward.

Sports retrospective: a Foothill Tech 2025-26 athletics in review
Foothill Technology High School’s (Foothill Tech) girls volleyball team had a remarkable 2025-26 season with an overall score of 17-10 and 7-1 in the Tri-Valley league. With incredible and continuous improvement, the team has made a remarkable turn around from the 2024-25 season, even going so far as taking large steps in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).

The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys golf team had a great 2025-26 season. They ended with a record of 3-3 in League, and 5-5 overall. Sebastian Huovinen ‘27 competed as first team at CIF, accompanied by Ben Markov '27, who competed as second team. Huovinen is seen preparing to drive the ball, with the intention of attaining the lowest score at the end of the match.

Throughout the 2025-26 school year, the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) girls basketball team performed extremely well, ending in 3rd place with a record of 4-4 in the Tri-Valley League. The Dragons made it all the way to round three of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Playoffs. By the end of the season, they had an overall game record of 12-11.

The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) baseball team did well in the 2025-26 season, placing 2nd in the Tri-Valley league with a record of 6-2. They had an over all record of 16-13 and they made it to the third round of California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) in the Southern Section. The team demonstrated tenacity and perseverance throughout the season.

The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) softball team placed 4th in the Tri-Valley league with a record of 2-6. Although they had an overall record of 10-10, they unfortunately didn't qualify for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).

The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boy's soccer team played well throughout the 2025-26 school year. They placed 3rd in the Tri-Valley league with a record of 2-5-1 and an overall record of 4-13-1. The dragons ended up making it to the second round of California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) in the Southern Section, but failed to progress due to an intense game against Fairmont Preparatory Academy.

The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) girls soccer team performed well in the 2025-26 school year. They had a record of 4-5-1 and placed 4th in the Tri-Valley league, attaining an overall record of 5-9-1. Despite their efforts, they were unable to qualify for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).

Throughout the 2025-26 season, the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys volleyball team had a great season, and played excellently. They finished the Tri-Valley league with a record of 7 wins and 3 losses. Along with this, they had a overall record of 16-9. The team also made history whilst winning the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Division 7 Championship, marking the first time in the program that the team had achieved victory.

Throughout the season, the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) girls golf team remained a daring opponent in the 2025-26 school year. Six Dragons qualified for the Individual California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Playoffs and the team won the Ventura Cup. The Dragons went to CIF as a team, but ultimately lost in the first round.

Foothill Tech's girls water polo team had a stellar season, finishing tenth in the Division 5 California Interscholastic Federaton (CIF) Southern Section. At the end of the season, the Dragons ended with an overall record of 11-6 and finished second in the Tri-Valley league with a record of 4-2.

During the 2025-26 season the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys water polo team tried their hardest and put in tremendous effort. Unfortunately, this effort was not translated to their win and loss record. Overall they had a record of 5 -10 and a league record of 1-5. Despite their low-scoring record, the team competed with strength and tenacity throughout the season.
