For the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) girls golf team, the Dragons dominated the league with a record of 4-0 and an overall record of 11-0. The team won the local Ventura Cup and six of the Dragons qualified for the Individual California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Playoffs.
The team competed in 64 rounds of nine-hole rounds, averaging about 49.9 strokes per nine-hole round. The Dragons were able to maintain their first place spot through multiple hard-hitters, such as Audrey Yoong ‘26 averaging at 38.3 and Taylor Ingold ‘26, with a 44.6 average. Even the upcoming seniors, now juniors, have respectable averages with Tess Borkowski ’27 at a 55.9 and Bella Bradely at a 52.4 average, per 9-hole round. This mass of talent suggests high hopes for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Their last win of the season was against Rio Mesa, with a score of 269-307 in strokes, exemplifying their strong influence in league play. However, despite this large win streak, the girls lost in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Round 1 Playoffs, gaining 95th overall. The girls golf team will continue to swing hard in the coming fall after this astounding 2025 season.
