The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) girls tennis team, despite difficulties in holding a coaching staff, would ultimately hold a 6-5 overall record for the season and a 4-2 league record. After a strong regular season, the girls earned themselves a spot into California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) playoffs. In the first round of CIF playoffs, the team unfortunately had to forfeit their line 3 doubles due to illness, and the team lost by 2 games.
Throughout the season, Jaylene Aguirre 28’ was a consistent and strong singles player for the Dragons. Her young age exemplifies rising talent that will carry on into the upcoming years for the Dragons. A notable senior was Saanvi Joshi 26’, who, as captain, held her place as line 1 singles.
Despite being eliminated early in the CIF playoffs, the team holds a lot of young talent to propel them into the 2026-27 fall season.
