Throughout the 2025-26 season, the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys volleyball team had a great season, and played excellently. They finished the Tri-Valley league with a record of 7 wins and 3 losses. Along with this, they had a overall record of 16-9. The team also made history whilst winning the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Division 7 Championship, marking the first time in the program that the team had achieved victory.

To end the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech)boys volleyball season, the Dragons fought and won the title of division seven California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Champions.

In the high-intensity match against the Oakwood Secondary High School Owls, the boys secured a 3-0 sweep and the championship title. Foothill Tech was then thrust into the division three regional championship brackets where they lost against Central East, 2-3.

The season brought about a new confidence for the Dragons, as this was the first time in history that the boys volleyball team had gained the league championship title. Seniors Curren Wiggins ’26 and Kaedon Charanvattanakit ’26 led the team through the season and continued to push them, even through tough losses.

With a 16-9 record overall and a 7-3 (2nd) league record, the boys have high hopes for the upcoming season. The team will continue to compete in the 2026-27 spring season after this hard-fought victory.

On April 13, 2026, the Foothill Technology High School boys volleyball team celebrated its senior night by crushing Laguna Blanca in a 3-0 sweep. On the night of March 19, 2026, the Foothill Technology High School boys volleyball team battled Bishop Diego. Despite the loss of 0-3, the Dragons battled with multiple rallies and strong swings at the net. On the night of Thursday, Feb. 26, Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) took on Del Sol in a thrilling game. Throughout all three games, Foothill and Del Sol held a close score till the end, with the Dragons winning the matchup 3-0. These games early in the season are vital to the team’s morale and their overall performance, so this was a great start for Foothill Tech’s momentum.

As the Dragons eagerly await the beginning of the official season, they come together to enjoy the low-pressure games of preseason. Before their first game, the team gathered for a pep talk and a group chant, signaling the commencement of their participation in the OHS Boys Volleyball Winter League Tournament.

Sports retrospective: a Foothill Tech 2025-26 athletics in review
Foothill Technology High School’s (Foothill Tech) girls volleyball team had a remarkable 2025-26 season with an overall score of 17-10 and 7-1 in the Tri-Valley league. With incredible and continuous improvement, the team has made a remarkable turn around from the 2024-25 season, even going so far as taking large steps in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).

The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys golf team had a great 2025-26 season. They ended with a record of 3-3 in League, and 5-5 overall. Sebastian Huovinen ‘27 competed as first team at CIF, accompanied by Ben Markov '27, who competed as second team. Huovinen is seen preparing to drive the ball, with the intention of attaining the lowest score at the end of the match.

Throughout the 2025-26 school year, the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) girls basketball team performed extremely well, ending in 3rd place with a record of 4-4 in the Tri-Valley League. The Dragons made it all the way to round three of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Playoffs. By the end of the season, they had an overall game record of 12-11.

The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) baseball team did well in the 2025-26 season, placing 2nd in the Tri-Valley league with a record of 6-2. They had an over all record of 16-13 and they made it to the third round of California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) in the Southern Section. The team demonstrated tenacity and perseverance throughout the season.

The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) softball team placed 4th in the Tri-Valley league with a record of 2-6. Although they had an overall record of 10-10, they unfortunately didn't qualify for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).

The Dragons finished their season 3rd with a score of 5-3 in the Tri-Valley League. They made it to the first round of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Playoffs, but ultimately lost to Carter High School, ending their season.

They placed 3rd in the Tri-Valley league with a record of 2-5-1 and an overall record of 4-13-1. The dragons ended up making it to the second round of California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) in the Southern Section, but failed to progress due to an intense game against Fairmont Preparatory Academy.

They had a record of 4-5-1 and placed 4th in the Tri-Valley league, attaining an overall record of 5-9-1. Despite their efforts, they were unable to qualify for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).

Throughout the season, the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) girls golf team remained a daring opponent in the 2025-26 school year. Six Dragons qualified for the Individual California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Playoffs and the team won the Ventura Cup. The Dragons went to CIF as a team, but ultimately lost in the first round.

Foothill Tech's girls water polo team had a stellar season, finishing tenth in the Division 5 California Interscholastic Federaton (CIF) Southern Section. At the end of the season, the Dragons ended with an overall record of 11-6 and finished second in the Tri-Valley league with a record of 4-2.

During the 2025-26 season the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys water polo team tried their hardest and put in tremendous effort. Unfortunately, this effort was not translated to their win and loss record. Overall they had a record of 5 -10 and a league record of 1-5. Despite their low-scoring record, the team competed with strength and tenacity throughout the season.
