On the late night of Jan. 16, 2025, Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) lost to St. Bonaventure (Bonnie) in their third league game of the season. Sofia Vega '26 dribbles at the top of the key, carefully surveying the defense and looking for an opening as she orchestrates the offense. As a forward, Vega displayed her court vision and basketball IQ throughput the game, running the floor and setting up key plays.

On April 17, 2024, Foothill Technology High School’s (Foothill Tech) Associated Student Body (ASB) held a Star Wars themed academic rally in honor of the graduating class of 2024. Cups filled with sparkling apple cider were set out on tables on the stage in the quad for seniors to grab and toast, celebrating their milestones and the future ahead of them.

She welcomes everyone with a kind smile and charming personality, always willing to help anyone in need. She is such a vital part of the Foothill Tech community and can be easily considered one of Foothill Tech’s Hidden Heroes.

The Christmas tree and lights are placed in the center of Main St. in Downtown Ventura. There are signs along this road informing pedestrians where to buy greeting cards and souvenirs to learn more about Ventura, Calif. Downtown Ventura has been bustling with live music, merchant booths and people riding and skating throughout town ever since a section of Main St. was closed to vehicles. Additionally, the city made tables and chairs available for individuals to use outside if needed.

Vorba has been teaching for two years in Simi Valley before starting her new journey at Foothill Tech. Vorba is poised to guide students towards excellence in their Spanish language studies and in the AVID program.
