Foothill Technology High School’s (Foothill Tech) boys baseball team earned a 3–1 victory over El Monte High School in the first round of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section playoffs on May 16, 2025. The Dragons set the tone early and maintained steady control throughout the game showcasing their defense and consistent energy on the field. Foothill Tech held firm to secure the win. The result marks an important step in the Dragons postseason journey as they look to build on the momentum heading into the second round that takes place on May 21, 2025 against Estancia.

Ventura's river estuary, a marshland area that funnels into the ocean, provides a refuge for many different species of birds; from sea and shorebirds to waterfowl and songbirds. The area is adjacent to a popular path for biking or running, but despite the proximity to human activity, the wildlife thrives in their own little world.

Therapy animals offer stress relief, improve moods and provide comfort to enhance emotional well-being in diverse settings.
