Lights and glitter decorated the Camarillo Airport Museum on Saturday night for Foothill’s annual Winter Formal. This dance’s theme was “Snowed In” so there were many decorative snowflakes and posters listing “delayed” flights.

DJ Kutz got students dancing with current pop tracks like “On My Mind” by Ellie Goulding and “Sorry” by Justin Bieber but also mixed in some older hits like “Push It” by Salt-N-Pepa.

At 8:30 p.m. the Winter Formal Court was announced. Kai Patterson and Spencer Wittrock were the Senior King and Queen. Ricardo Silva and Sofia Martinez were the junior prince and princess. Bridget McGuire and Mark Wise were the sophomore winners and Zion Denzel and Ceci Goncalves were the freshman winners.

When students weren’t dancing, they could have photos taken by Visual Photography or look around at the displays about historic Air Force Planes.

Sophomore Assistant Student Body (ASB) President Julia Fickenscher’s ultimate goal was for students “to have fun and to think it was a successful night and for them to be happy.”

Hi Lisa! Unfortunately, it looks like slideshows are no longer working on our wireless. We are hoping to solve this problem soon. For now, we suggest looking at the photos from your home computer or cellphone.

There’s no link to the photo gallery.

The dance was really fun. I liked the location. Thanks to all who worked to put it together.

Suggestions for future: Might have been nice to have more than room temperature water to drink. Also, needed more to eat. There were only cupcakes that ran out. Is the Winter Formal a fundraiser? Maybe even selling drinks or snacks could work.

    Looking forward to next year.
