The weeks leading up to winter break might seem never ending, but they are filled with lots of holiday spirit. Starting off, the “Harry Potter” themed week is “Harry Potter” day on Dec. 11, 2023, where students can choose a teacher or House from the mystical series and dress up. The following day, Dec. 12, Freshman are assigned the color yellow in order to represent the “Hufflepuff” house. On Dec. 13, Sophomores are assigned the color red in honor of “Griffyndor” and on Dec. 14, Juniors are assigned “Ravenclaw” blue. On Dec. 15, Seniors are assigned the color green in order to reflect the “Slytherin” house. Rounding up the week on Dec. 16, is Foothill Technology High School’s (Foothill Tech) annual Winter Formal which will be held at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. On Nov. 27, 2023, boys’ soccer tied 2-2 against Ventura High School (Ventura) and 1-1 against Fillmore High School (Fillmore) on Nov. 28, 2023. Girls’ basketball won 31-18 against Cate School (Cate) on Dec. 4, and will face Cabrillo High School (Cabrillo) on Dec. 12, as well as Santa Barbara High School (Santa Barbara) on Dec. 14.
