On April 15, the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) baseball team battled Grace Brethren High School (Grace) in a low-scoring game, ultimately winning 2-1 on their senior night.
On the rubber, Connor Nelles ’26 started the game for the Dragons, where he gave up six hits over five innings and one unearned run from Grace. To relieve Nelles, Drayden Belitski ’26 stepped up and threw two innings to close the game for the Dragons. Belitski allowed one hit and provided two no-run innings to secure the Dragons’ lead and win.
Grace opened scoring in the second inning with a sacrifice fly that would ultimately score the only run for Grace throughout the game. The third inning went without any runs from either team. Shane White ’26 responded in the box in the bottom of the fourth, hitting a solo home run to tie the game 1-1. Up until the sixth, the game stayed tied until Cain Ebrahim ’28 hit another solo home run, which took the Dragons to a 2-1 lead.
Cooper Casey ’27 held down the defense with five putouts and one assist, alongside Grant Ready ’26, who had four putouts and two assists.
The Foothill Tech Dragons will compete in their next match against Grace on April 16, on the road.
