With a win against Santa Clara on Friday Dec. 6, the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys basketball team traveled to Buena High School to battle the Bulldogs in a nail-biting game. Although the Dragons were up by three at halftime, the Bulldogs fought back and won, with the final score of 54-61. Pictured, Ashton Brown '26 (number 11), takes the ball down the court using his handles to out-maneuver his defender. Brown was one of the key components of the game from his efforts on offense, ranging from three-pointers to ball movement, to his intense defense that resulted in multiple blocks and steals.

Coming into the game with the record of 1-6 and the desire to win, the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys basketball team faced off against Santa Clara High School. The Dragons worked together cohesively to secure a 53-44 win against their opponents. Pictured above, Nick Turner ‘26 (number 5) drives down the court with the intention of scoring a basket. On the chilly night of Dec. 6, 2024, Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) faces Ventura High School (Ventura) in a non-league match, testing their skills and teamwork. Although ending in a 0-2 loss, the Dragons persevered throughout the night, putting pressure on Ventura with strong defense. Pictured above is Mikayla Pecchi '25 (number 8), who carefully navigates Ventura's defense, aiming to get the upper hand for her team. Although coming back from an injury, she remains a strong and essential player for the Dragons, both on defense and offense.

On Oct. 15 and 17, 2024, the Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) girls golf team sent five players to the two-day Tri-Valley League Individual Finals. The first day took place at Olivas Links Golf course. Audrey Yoong '26 was the low score from the Dragons with a 39 on day one, just four strokes shy of the lead. Yoong’s score put her in second place going into the second day. Bella Baum '26 was the second lowest score from the team with a 44, placing third leading into the second day. Day two took place at Santa Barbara Golf Club, where Yoong fired off a 41, totalling her score to 80, securing her second place finish, making First Team All League and qualifying for California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Baum shot a 54, finishing tied for fourth and making First Team All League. The top three players in the league will advance to CIF Southern Section at Los Robles Greens on Oct. 30, 2024.
