News Brief: Virtual Showcase familiarizes students with special programs
February 11, 2021
On Feb. 10, 2021, Foothill Technology High School’s (Foothill Tech) first-ever Virtual Showcase commenced. Usually an event held on campus, this year’s virtual showcase promotional videos were shown to Foothill Dragons during class time. These videos were made by each special program and gave some basic information and details about the class.
Students who were interested in specific programs were urged to join section specific meetings. These meetings were held by every special program requiring an application and went from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. The application process was explained more in depth and students had an opportunity to ask questions if prompted.
All of the programs that require applications need both a “common app,” due Feb. 19, and a supplemental application (due date varies by program). If you missed the informational meetings, or just want more details on the application processes, check out the material here.
Comments on articles are screened and those determined by editors to be crude, overly mean-spirited or that serve primarily as personal attacks will not be approved. The Editorial Review Board, made up of 11 student editors and a faculty adviser, make decisions on content.
