In the fourth match of their longest California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) playoff run, the girls’ volleyball team slayed the Colony Titans 3-1. With this win, they advance to the long-coveted CIF Finals.
This volleyball team has dominated their way through the playoffs, winning 3-0, 3-0, 3-0 and now 3-1 in the semifinals. This run culminated at the end of an 8-4 league record which propelled the Dragons to a second seed in the CIF playoffs.
The set scores were 25-15, 25-20, 23-25 and 25-21, Foothill taking the match in spite of four hard-fought sets by Colony.
Pearl Esparza ’19 said, “We have to work even harder to accomplish the new goals we have set.”
The Dragons will play on Saturday to try and win the championship.
