Rugile Pekinas is a junior at Foothill Technology High School, a first-year editor for the sports section, and a second-year journalist on the Foothill Dragon Press. The former news writer was born in Kaunas, LT and is often asked if Lithuania is in Africa. Rugile loves learning the history of the world and showing her creativity through art. When she is outside of school, she can be found practicing ballet or yelling at people who do not recycle. Rugile loves sugary food and enjoys eating cake. During the summer, she volunteers at Camp Whittier as a counselor in training, or CIT, and enjoys helping children. Her goals of this year are to succeed in her AP classes, to be an excellent sports editor, and to “blaze the trail” as an editor for the new section.
