Acacia Danza is a sophomore at Foothill and a first-year staffer for the News section of the Foothill Dragon Press. She is looking forward to spreading local news within the Foothill campus

Acacia Danza is a sophomore at Foothill and a first-year staffer for the News section of the Foothill Dragon Press. She is looking forward to spreading local news within the Foothill campus, branching out of her comfort zone through news writing and meeting new people in the community. Part of Bioscience and the Design Tech Academy, Acacia enjoys math and sciences such as biology, and hopes to pursue a career in the science field in the future. When she isn’t flooded with a sea of homework from her eight classes, Acacia is an active athlete at the Channel Islands Ice Center where she has been figure skating and dancing for about five years. Acacia has also been involved in Girl Scouts for nine years and enjoys annually decorating rose parade floats. As an environmental enthusiast, Acacia has a passion for biking, hiking and backpacking for fun or through the Sierra Club organization. As an avid exerciser, she couldn’t imagine life without Clif Bars. Acacia is also a dedicated Harry Potter fan and can be found with her nose in a book at every turn. She believes it is important to express and embrace your individualism, and is looking forward to being actively involved on campus as a student and as a Foothill Dragon Press journalist.
