Welcome back Dragons, here’s the latest! On Oct. 11, 2023, the Bioscience Academy is hosting the blood drive, where anyone who is over 16 and meets the requirements can participate. This school years first Renascence Rally is on Oct. 13, 2023 with a spooky theme. As the first quarter comes to an end, fall break will begin after Oct. 20, 2023 and school resumes on Oct. 30, 2023. Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) will host it’s annual Trunk or Treat on Oct. 31, 2023, where seniors in the lot will be giving out treats and tricks. The fall sports season is unfortunately coming to a close with many Senior Nights on the way. You can checkout a girls’ volleyball article where they played their final home game against La Reina High School (La Reina) and took a lost 0-3. Also look out for a boys’ water polo article where they took a win 11-6 against Bishop Diego High School (Bishop Diego), bringing their overall league record to 2-10. Checkout features articles such as “Hidden heroes: The story of Johnny Garcia,” as well as “ArtWalk: Showcasing Ventura’s creative crowd.” If you’re interested in A&E, then make sure to check out “Arctic Monkeys rocks Los Angeles with their long-awaited ‘The Car’ Tour,” along with coming up articles covering Hispanic Heritage Month, as well as the Love Ventura’s annual day of service.
