Ayla McNeil is known for her intuitive fashion sense. This Foothill sophomore embraces a wide variety of styles; hers is not easily characterized, it is very unique and original. She’s hard not to notice when she’s walking down the hall in some of her best outfits.
“Ayla is a trend setter,” sophomore Shelly Boyd said. “Her style is different and unique […] I like that she’s not mainstream with her clothes.”
McNeil credits her fashion sense to her sister.
“I used to wear the weirdest clothes in middle school, then my sister started picking stuff out for me and I evolved from there,” she said.
Like any fashionista, having a wide variety of clothes to pick from is a necessity for McNeil. She achieves this variety by shopping at different stores. She likes to shop at American Eagle and Foreign Exchange.
“I also try to copy Urban Outfitters,” she said.
McNeil puts together her outfits by mixing new clothes and hand-me-downs. If it’s cold she’ll add a jacket to spice an outfit up as well as keep her warm. If it’s not comfortable enough she’ll add leggings or a cardigan.
McNeil’s style reflects her personality.
“[My style] is kind of serious but fun at the same time.”
Anyone who knows her knows that this is true.
“[Ayla is] outgoing, dramatic in a good way, and funny,” said Boyd.
Her white dress that has a jean top and studs down the sides is her favorite outfit. Ayla can often be seen wearing boots, a cute top, jeans, or a trendy dress. She has an outfit for every occasion and always looks her best.
