What is Farch? Some call it hell, I call it an academic marathon, and teachers call it a “challenge” of our ability to rise above the rest and prove ourselves academically worthy.
Challenge not accepted.
During the period of Farch, we are able to see a slump in grades not only among the ranks of the stressing juniors, but in all the other grades as well. Now, why is this? Why now, when the bulk of the second semester grade is at stake, do students begin to slack off?
Junior Steven Lee explained that it’s “because spring break is near and we’re so overwhelmed, that we’re just over it.”
Freshman McKenna Cole claimed that it was because we “have no breaks.”
Whatever the cause may be, we all know that Farch sucks. So why does the district enforce the grueling death march upon its populace? Why can’t we be allowed even a three-day weekend to break up the block? If there were, I guarantee that there would be a steep rise in grades and GPA across the board.
So please district, please save us.
