Emma Kolesnik is a second-year Opinion and Arts and Entertainment writer for the Dragon Press and a junior at Foothill. This year, Emma is participating in classes at Ventura College, the Foothill Girls’ tennis team and AP classes, which she hopes to stay on top of with the help of caffeine. She has also been active in Foothill’s Speech and Debate team since her freshman year, and she has practiced three of the four kinds of debate. Emma is passionate about language and speaks three languages herself. In the very little free time she has, Emma enjoys drinking copious amounts of boba, having passionate conversations about political topics and watching Game of Thrones religiously. She enjoys the benefits of journalism such as the opportunity to experience her favorite artists and movies for Arts and Entertainment and the ability to speak passionately as an opinion writer. Next year, she plans to work even harder and apply to way more colleges than she actually should. Despite needing to balance many extracurriculars and advanced classes, Emma is excited for a great year and motivated to stay 100 percent committed to everything she’s involved with.
