Kathryn Brandi is a sophomore and a first-year journalist for the Sports section of the Foothill Dragon Press. Kathryn has participated in Foothill’s athletics herself.

Kathryn Brandi is a sophomore and a first-year journalist for the Sports section of the Foothill Dragon Press. Kathryn has participated in Foothill’s athletics herself. She was on the varsity soccer team as well as a sprinter for track, and had a great time participating in both sports. Kathryn has been involved with soccer since the third grade, and currently plays for Ventura Football Club (VFC). Besides her new journalism career, several Honors classes, and participation in sports, she enjoys being at the beach, spending time with her friends and family and traveling. Kathryn also has a love of frozen yogurt, mac n’ cheese, Goldfish and baking. Her adventurous side has led her to set a goal of visiting all 50 states in the U.S. She has currently been to 24 of these states, and so far her favorite place she has travelled to is Mammoth, due to the beauty of the area. The number one state on her bucket list is Alaska, mainly due to the stunning views, but also because of her hopes to see a moose while she’s up there. Alongside her love of Alaska is a love of Utah. She has visited Utah almost every year, and hopes to attend Brigham Young University (BYU) Provo in the future.
