Since Foothill Technology High School’s Club Rush event on Sept. 16, 2022, clubs are now in full swing. This year, Environmental Club kicked off their operations by cleaning up the back garden space of the school. Club President Renee Schultz ‘23 collaborated with Mason Borkowski ‘24 and advisor Emily Hunt to plant new seedlings and clean up trash. The group also worked to restore the sustainable green house built by Borkowski over the summer. “It’s solar powered, the entire thing is 100 percent recycled,” Borkowski explains. “It seems like the Environmental Club wanted to come back here and help out, build some new stuff, and I’m clearly supporting that.” By the end of the day, the group was able to beautify the space, and successfully start off this year’s club.
