Another round, another victory for girls’ volleyball. They just keep on rolling, as they won their third round California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) match against the Gladstone Gladiators. For the third straight playoff game, they won 3-0 at home with set scores of 25-19, 25-15 and 25-19.
With this win they will move on to the CIF semi-finals, likely playing on the road.
Lexi Malone ‘19 said, “if we have a chance of winning the championships, it’s this year.” She continued, “our progress from the beginning of the season until now has been amazing. This team is a huge success.”
Pearl Esparza ‘19, as well as Malone, felt that setter Taryn Savard ‘18 really stood out. “She was executing techniques we had learned in practice and she picked up some crazy balls. Not to mention all of the wicked sets she threw,” Esparza said.
She also commented, “this is the furthest Foothill volleyball has ever gone in CIF, so we are all working extremely hard because we know there’s a lot on the line.”
