On Friday night, the boys’ basketball team played against Cate School and defeated them by 23 points with a final score of 69-46.
This game was also Senior Night for the team. Seniors Nick Vaughan and Michael Booth were recognized for being a part of Foothill’s first boys’ basketball team.
Coach Dean Prophet thought that both of the boys had a “great game.”
Prophet believes that the team played well in their defense and made more points than in the past.
“We finally hit some shots and played a decent defense. This is the most points scored in a game for us,” said Prophet.
The leading scorers of the game were Vaughan with 26 points, Booth with 16 points, and sophomore Dale Starr with 12 points.
In the Frontier League, the Dragons hold a record of three wins and eight losses and an overall record of three wins and 11 losses.
The team’s last game will be on Wednesday at the Ventura College gym.
