On Tuesday night, the Foothill girls’ basketball team beat Fillmore High School with a final score of 42-31.
Coach Jason Edgmond believes that the team’s success was because of their great chemistry on the court.
“We played really well as a team, [and] the ball moved really well on offense,” said Edgmond.
However, Edgmond recognized that during the last few minutes of the game, his choices could have been better.
“[We need to improve] clock management at the end of the game, [and] I [could have made] better decisions as a coach,” he said.
The leading scorers of the game were junior Sienna Romero and freshman Ze’lee Sparks, both with nine points, and juniors Vanessa Ojeda and Rebecca Negrette, with eight points each.
The team is now number one in Frontier League with a total of seven wins and one loss. Overall, the team has had ten wins and four losses.
