Foothill boys’ basketball defeated Grace Brethren High School by a single point, with a final score of 51-50. Senior Nick Vaughan scored the final point of the game on a free throw, which broke the 50-50 point tie and gave Foothill the win.

Although the team won, Prophet feels that there were things that the team could have done better on in the game.

“[We] still need to work on not allowing the other team to get second chance shot opportunities with offensive rebounds,” he said.

The leading scorers of the game were senior Nick Vaughan, with 19 points, freshman Colin Vallance, with 11 points, and senior Michael Booth, with six points.

Prophet believes that this team made an “exciting finish” to an “exciting  game.”

The team has had two wins and one loss in the Frontier League and has had two wins and three losses overall.

The teams next game will be Jan. 16 against Fillmore High School at Ventura College.
