The Foothill girls’ varsity team finished off the last game of the season with a win. The team played against Thacher and finished with a final score of 3-2 and individual set scores of 25-8, 17-25, 18-25, 25-11, and 15-10.
Coach Chip Tarleton felt the game was tough in some ways, but the team was able to end it successfully.
“They fought through a very intense home crowd of support at Thacher,” said Tarleton.
He felt the team tried hard, and really pushed through despite the daunting crowd.
“They overcame a lot of adversity and gutted out the victory,” he said.
After the playoffs comes the off-season, and Tarleton hopes the team continues to grow and stay in shape in that off time.
“All of them need to continue to get better at everything during the off-season,” said Tarleton.
This last game’s win made Tarleton happy with the ending of the season.
“It was a nice way to finish the first season of girls’ volleyball at Foothill Tech,” said Tarleton.
The team has a total record of four wins and eleven losses, and three wins and ten losses in league this season.
