The Foothill girls’ varsity volleyball team played Carpinteria High School today, and lost with a score of 3-0 in games and 17-25, 15-25, and 23-25 in individual sets.
When asked if anything unusual happened, coach Chip Tarleton said, “we still played like freshmen.”
Tarleton believes the team still needs to make several improvements, but one thing that he did feel went well was that a few key players were able to stand out during the game.
According to Tarleton, one of the varsity team’s middle blockers, freshman Morgan Gallagher, “played well”, and the libero, freshman Faith Mackie, “did her usual incredible job.”
This was the team’s fourth league game.
