Summer has gone by in a flash and what to wear next for fall is an incredible question. Getting rid of your summer florals and dresses is not the answer. Adding boots, layers, blazers, and simple skinny jeans to your summer clothing can help accessorize and put together a great style that everyone will be FALL-ing for. With these four simple tips and tricks you will easily be able to transition your summer closet to fall.
1. Boots
Boots are a universal shoe that are great for fall, adding a boho flair to your outfit. Adding a knee-high or calf sock can also simply add a more put together outfit without making the boots too rugged. This shoe is also great for any fall outfit because with unsuspecting weather you will be ready for the day, rain or shine. In this outfit we took a summer-y patterned orange multi-colored beach dress from World Market, added a Levi’s jean jacket and a gold chain belt and paired them all up with great pair of brown boots with a calf-length sock. This outfit went from summer beachwear into an outfit that would work perfectly for fall.

2. Blazers, cardigans, coats, oh my!
On a chilly Autumn day it can be easy to wear jeans all the time, forgetting about those great summer floral dresses you wore just the month before. Staying warm while looking great can easily be achieved with a simple cardigan, coat, or blazer. In this outfit we started off with a summer-y strapless floral tan dress with a pair of Mary Jane shoes. By simply adding a striped black blazer and a pair of gray suede stacked heels, the outfit was transformed from a summer ensemble into fall attire, for a perfect warm November evening.

3. The jean
A pair of skinny or boot cut jeans can pull together an outfit that is perfect for fall. Adding a couple of fall accessories can transform the outfit from summer to fall. In the summer outfit, we started out with a pair of light colored skinny jeans with a brown belt, a simple long sleeved olive t-shirt and a pair of brown flip flops. This outfit was transformed by adding a knitted black sweater with a grey knitted scarf and a pair of grey suede thick heeled booties.

4. Layers, layers, layers
Once again, staying warm when the chilly days of fall come is an aspect that affects many outfits. Wearing a summer dress with layers can keep you incredibly warm while still looking cute. Long sleeves, tights and scarves are easy articles of clothing to add to any outfit to achieve the fall style. In this outfit we started with a simple turquoise summer dress paired with a pair of navy-blue pointed end flats perfect for a hot summer day, but not a freezing November morning. This dress was transformed by adding layers. We added a black long sleeve, a turquoise/jade colored knitted scarf, a simple pair or black tights and a pair of knee-high black riding boots. This outfit went from being a perfect, warm Summer day ensemble, into a layered ensemble, perfect for a chilly Autumn morning.
