Senior Rugile Pekinas is a third-year journalist and Co-Sports Editor for the Foothill Dragon Press. She loves to dance, and it makes no difference to her whether it’s in the studio she’s danced with since she was three years old or simply “the really stupid kind” with her younger brother in her room. She doesn’t believe in having a favorite color, because she thinks “every color is beautiful in its own way,” but, if pressed, she does especially enjoy the color blue. Rugile loves the human side and the “emotion” of sports journalism, and bringing the action and excitement of games to the student body through her reporting. She is also the co-founder of Foothill’s brand-new Environmental Club, and a member of the National Art Honor Society. Rugile likes the “classic California” feel of vintage Volkswagens– she would collect them if she could– and 1960s surfer movies, and loves “everything” about the 1970s aesthetic. She spent her summer in Ventura, but “loved every second of it,” and hopes that everyone feels content where they live and who they live with.
