The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) boys’ basketball team came into the 2024-2025 season with high hopes after making a deep California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) playoff run in the 2023-2024 season. The Dragons ended their 2024-2025 season with an overall record of 16-15 and a league record of 7-1, which earned them second in league. The Dragons capped off their season with another deep run into the CIF playoffs, making it to the third round before getting knocked out by La Puente High School (La Puente) 53-70.
Foothill Tech had many notable victories in the season including a win on their annual senior night against Grace Brethren School (Grace) where they won 65-40. The night allowed Foothill Tech to celebrate their seniors who have put so much effort into making the program what it is today. The seniors, Luigirey Guce ’25, Jordan Banola-castillo ‘25, Liam Macario ‘25, Aidan Gomez ‘25 and Philip Blessum ‘25 leave behind their mark as they move out of high school athletics.
The future appears to be a bright one for the Dragons with many star players like Ashton Brown ‘26, and Nick Turner ‘26 staying with the team for another year. This star studded line up led by Coach Brown will surely be ready come the 2025-2026 season.
