As summer approaches, tune into the season finale of FDP-TV for the latest news at Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech). Updates include coverage on the new schedule for the 2024-25 school year and upcoming events. The spring sports season has officially ended. On the website now are sports articles including two new “Athlete of the Week” profiles and coverage of the CIF finals. Look forward to a year-long retrospective on various sports coming soon. Upcoming articles include a review of singer Doja Cat’s discography and a breakdown of five great indie games to give a shot. That’s all for this episode of FDP-TV. Have a great summer, Dragons!

Along with this instant information, the online newscape has found its hold in politics. Consistently social media is a talking point in modern debates, as the online platforms tend to divide the general public on large issues. Due to these constant debates and intense disagreements, a greater divide is being placed between groups such as Republicans and Democrats. Since TOMORROW X TOGETHERs debut in early 2019, the five Korean pop idols have risen to fame in a number of countries as they continue to release hit albums paired with their meaningful lyricism and stunning choreography. On their third world tour, Act: Promise, the group has continued to further prove their success with each concert.

I Saw the TV Glow is a psychological horror drama film released by A24 on May 3, 2024. It was written and directed by Jane Shoebrun and stars Justice Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine. The film follows two young teens dealing with a variety of mental health difficulties, and their downward spiral following the cancellation of their favorite TV show. The film deals with a variety of themes, most notably mental health, identity and sexuality.

On the morning of June 11, 2024 Foothill Technology High Schools (Foothill Tech) associated student body (ASB) won the 2024 Platinum Tier School of Distinction Award. Only 59 high schools in the nation have been awarded this award, which required the high schools to have a positive environment and culture on campus.

In the afternoon of June 11, 2024, seniors of Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) and their family and friends gathered together on the Ventura College football field to celebrate one of the most momentous occasions for each senior: graduation. Pictured above, Sarah ONeil 24 waves at her family and friends in the audience after making the long anticipated trek across the stage to receive her diploma. Decorated with scads of chords to celebrate her high school achievements, ONeil plans to continue achieving her dreams by attending California State University, Chico in the fall.
