There are no tricks in these Halloween treats

Halloween usually consists of Foothill Technology High School’s (Foothill Tech) annual trunk or treat, dressing in costumes with your friends and getting bucket-loads of candy. Nowadays, Halloween must compose of more socially distanced activities; with more time on our hands, many of us would gorge ourselves on Halloween treats to pass the time, but they can be expensive or not to your preference. These fabulous and eerie DIY treats will bring a smile to your face. They are super easy, manageable and fun to make!
Halloween pudding cups
Pudding cups are a traditional dessert staple in many people’s minds. Adding a Halloween pumpkin patch twist makes it so much more enjoyable! The pumpkin patch pudding is completely up to the person constructing it. You can add, take away, invent and make a pudding unique for your preference! This pudding treat makes a great gift to give to your friends as a Halloween gift or even just for yourself!
Ingredients
- Prepared pudding (according to your own recipe)
- Crushed up oreos
- Candy corn pumpkins
- Gummy worms
- Anymore candy that you prefer
- Small cups
- ½ cup Whipped cream
Step by step procedure (this will be in photos)
- Step one: Mix 1 cup of whipped cream in the pudding
- Step two: Scoop pudding into small clear cups
- Step two: Place crushed up oreos on top of the pudding cups
- Step three: Place gummy worms inside the cups and below the pudding
- Step four: Place candy corn pumpkins on top in the way you prefer
- Step five: Optional- Place other candies in the pudding pumpkin patch
- You now have a beautiful pumpkin patch created by pudding!
Spider cookies
Spider cookies are a must for the Halloween season! They melt in your mouth, taste heavenly and look amazing. These spooky spider cookies are extremely simple and quick to make! Your Halloween will be lifted from these incredible and savory cookies!
Ingredients
- Cookie dough (pre-made or homemade)
- Miniatures reese’s peanut butter Cups
- Brown or black icing pen
- Candy eyes
Step by step procedure
- Step one: Bake the cookies
- Step two: After cookies are baked place a small divot in the center
- Step three: After cooled, place the miniature reese’s peanut butter cup in the divot
- Step four: Using the brown or black icing pen, place three lines on each side of the peanut butter cups to create spider legs
- Step five: Place candy eyes on top of the peanut butter cups
- Now you have a very realistic candy spider on your cookies!
Graveyard brownies
Why have plain, boring brownies when you can have graveyard brownies! This spooky treat is not only simple and easy to make, but it is perfect for getting into the Halloween spirit. Not to mention, it will leave your taste buds dancing with flavor!
Ingredients
- Prepared brownie batter (from mix or homemade, whichever you choose)
- Milano Cookies
- Black Decorating Icing or Brown Frosting pen
- Candy Corn Pumpkins
- Vanilla Frosting
- Green Food coloring
Step by step procedure
- Step 1: Make brownie batter and bake brownies in a pan lined with parchment paper
- Step 2: Let brownies cool (or else frosting will melt)
- Step 3: While the brownies are cooling, mix the green food coloring into the frosting
- Step 4: Take the gel/frosting pen and write R.I.P. on the top of the milano cookies to create the gravestone
- Step 5: Push the bottom of the cookie into the top of the brownies
- Step 6: Put a little bit of green frosting on the bottom of the pumpkin and place it next to the gravestone
- Step 7: You can add more candies to your liking and enjoy your realistic mouth watering graveyard!
Ghost cupcakes
These ghost cupcakes require very little work, despite looking super adorable and tasting amazing. They are the perfect treat for watching scary movies, carving pumpkins, or even just for fun.
Ingredients
- Chocolate cake batter (Homemade or mix)
- Black and orange cupcake liners
- Muffin pan
- White frosting
- Mini Chocolate chips
Step by step procedure
- Step 1: Put cupcake liners in muffin pan, distribute cupcake batter evenly into each one and bake
- Step 2: When they’ve finished baking, take the cupcakes out of the pan to let them cool
- Step 3: Once they’ve cooled completely, frost the cupcakes so you create a cone of frosting (You can use a plastic bag with a corner cut out as a piping bag or you can just use a butter knife to shape it)
- Step 4: After you get the frosting in the right shape, place two of the mini chocolate chips next to each other to create the ghosts eyes
- Step 5: Enjoys these cute and almost frightening ghost cupcakes!
