Alison English, class of 2011, has been with The Foothill Dragon Press for two years and is currently this year’s News Editor. She thoroughly enjoys writing news stories and being part of the journalism class. She is currently taking four AP classes and is involved in numerous activities. She swims with the Buenaventura Swim Club on almost a daily basis, and in the spring swims for Ventura High School’s varsity swim team. She also has been horseback riding ever since she was seven years old. She owns a Paint-Quarter horse named Cash, whom her sister now rides, and is currently leasing an Irish Thoroughbred named Ivor. Because of her love for the sport of horseback riding, she joined the United States Pony Club five years ago. The USPC has introduced the opportunity for her to start competing in tetrathlon and modern pentathlon. She plans to keep up with all of her activities as well as keep up with The Foothill Dragon Press when she attends college in the fall of 2011.
