From the minds behind Frozen and Big Hero 6, Walt Disney Pictures’ Zootopia delivers another cute and light-hearted movie. Although definitely aimed towards little kids, the movie made sure to acknowledge their older audience with funny jokes and relatable moments.
Zootopia is set in a modernized town where predator and prey live together and act as humans do. Judy Hopps, a small rabbit, sets out to become a member of the police force. However, once she gets the job, she realizes it’s tough to be taken seriously because of her species. When given 48 hours to solve a nearly impossible case, she utilizes the help of a clever fox to live up to the task.
The movie was able to give an investigative mystery a youthful twist, making it perfect for young children. The animals were cute, the music was motivating, and the message of the movie teaches kids everywhere that no matter who they are, or where they came from, they can do whatever they put their mind to.
Because Disney is typically aimed towards a younger audience, this movie was mainly meant for children. However, directors Byron Howard, Rich Moore, and Jared Bush made sure to throw in several jokes and scenes that the more mature audience would definitely appreciate. From the humorous apps that most teens have had before to the sloths working at the DMV, there are plenty of moments that teens would enjoy.
@DisneyZootopia was amazing! Laughed more than all the kids in the cinema. Genius.

Zootopia has an impressive cast list. Once Upon a Time star Ginnifer Goodwin voices Judy Hopps (the rabbit), and Jason Bateman, known for his role in Arrested Development, plays the voice of the clever fox, Nick Wilde.
So far, Zootopia has done well. On opening night, the movie earned $19.5 million. It got decent ratings, scoring 99% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.3/10 on IMDb.
Overall, Zootopia was an adorable movie. There was a positive theme, humorous moments, and cute animations. Any teen or adult who is a child at heart will definitely enjoy, and even if you prefer something a little more ¨mature,¨ the movie is still sure to make you laugh. If you have a younger sibling (or want to utilize them as an excuse to go), this Disney movie is definitely worth the watch.
