Chick-Fil-A is not just another fast food chain restaurant. It is an abomination. It makes unhealthy fast food restaurants look good.
Chick-Fil-A is a corporation founded by the Cathy family. The Chief Operating Officer, Dan T. Cathy started the latest movement among LGBTQ individuals and activists when he stated in July of 2012, “As it relates to society in general, I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.’”
This comment created an uproar. Many gays, lesbians, and equality supporters would go outside of a Chick-Fil-A installment and kiss. Some even got engaged or married in front of it, to show their anger and laugh in the face of the Cathy family.
When this movement started, Chick-Fil-A gained supporters from Neo-Nazis and ex-presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. Even after all of this, Cathy remained true to his statement.
And this horrible, sickening, close-minded company is coming to Ventura on February 21, 2013.
Of course, some agree with his opinion. Fine. You can have your opinion, and I can have mine. Some, even with the same opinion, will say that it doesn’t really matter if you hate this company or boycott it because there are so many horrible franchises out there that do immoral things, but Chick-Fil-A is more than a company run by a homophobic family. {sidebar id=66}
They have donated millions to organizations whose goal is to get homosexuals into therapy, with the intent of changing their sexual orientation, sometimes brutally, leaving the victim who has nothing to change emotionally and sometimes physically scarred, but it doesn’t stop there.
Chick-Fil-A was sued by a former employee for wrongful termination, specifically because of her gender. The company, according to Forbes magazine, has been sued more than a dozen times for discrimination.
One employee, Aziz Latif, a former manager, was wrongfully fired for not wanting to participate in a group prayer. Furthermore, Chick-Fil-A installments and managers have shown discrimination against females specifically.
There is almost always a reason to hate an organization. We can be mad that Target or Lassens spoke out against gay marriage, we can be glad that JC Penny is featuring biracial gay families in their commercials, or we can just turn our heads away and not care. It may not matter to you what Chick-Fil-A does, but it should.
Going to this establishment and purchasing something off their menu only increases their revenue and stability. We don’t want that. Bringing down a corporation like this is standing up for a belief. Even if you are against gay marriage, maybe you are for gender equality, maybe you are for religious equality, it doesn’t matter. If you are human and you have morals, then Chick-Fil-A has done something that has offended you, you just don’t know it yet.
Allowing a place like this to come to our hometown is an abomination. That cow holding the “Eat More Chikin” sign should not be humorous, but disgusting. This is a company that needs to be opposed and boycotted, for its stance on gay marriage, on religious ideals, and on gender equality. This is an organization against equality, and we are a nation for one. So why are we supporting it?
All of these immoral events were only in 2012, so who knows what 2013 has in store for Chick-Fil-A.
Even as the protests and boycotts continue, this corporation continues to make installments, including in my hometown. I love Ventura, but this new restaurant set to be located on Eastman St. will give me a reason to avoid certain parts of the place I love.
I do not want an evil corporation like this one close to me. I don’t want it associated with the same things I am, and I do not want it to exist, but even though that sounds nice, it is a long way away. We have to wait for people to understand the differences between good and bad.

I hate you! I hate your opinions! Even though I agree with some. I think Chick-Fil-A deserves to be in Ventura because I rarely seen a Chick-Fil-A resturant in my life! Seeing a Chick-Fil-A resturant around is very uncommon! Repect to those mormons, because they believe in man-women marriage, not same sex marriage. That’s why the Cathy family hates gays and lesbians cause they believe in same sex marriage because they’re mormon! Chick-Fil-A is a mormon owned company! They even close their resturants at Sundays for employees to take their day off. They believe in good food! They know how to treat everyone right! You just writing this article, exaggerating, not understanding the Cathy’s family’s religion! YOU GOT TO TREAT AND UNDERSTAND OTHERS THE SAME!

I’m sorry for hating you though. It’s just that I want to express my opinion on this article. I wanted to show you why I hated this article so much, and I wanted you to take my advice about treating and understanding everyone the same.
