Foothill’s staff filled the Ventura Bowling Center on Saturday night for their third annual holiday party.
Thirteen of the 32 Foothill staff members went to the bowling alley to have some fun and participate in friendly competition.
“It was fun, and a good way to spend time with the staff,” science teacher and ASB advisor Darcy Duffy said.
The math department has performed very well in past years, and this year was no different. Geometry and physical education teacher Bill Huffman set a new staff high score of 177 points.
“I was in a zone and the pins were falling,” Huffman said. “It was a good time.”
Math teacher Rick Villano won the tournament last year and he said giving up his title was “bittersweet.”
“There couldn’t be anyone [that] I would be more happy to give up the title to than Mr. Huffman,” he said.
Assistant principal Carlos Cohen scored 155 points, while principal Joe Bova scored 132.
Staff members will compete again next year in hopes of winning a pin-shaped trophy and bragging rights.
