Tyler Herzog is a sophomore and first-year News writer. Born and raised in Ventura, along with an older sister and younger step-brother, he has high hopes for journalism this year. Wanting to deliver the truth to readers, as well as improve his writing, he decided to join the Foothill Dragon Press after Melissa Wantz, his previous English teacher, recommended him. Tyler also practices Tae Kwon Do; he currently has a third degree red belt and is on his way to a black belt in November. He has participated in his dojo for two and a half years, not counting his time during childhood. Living in Ventura, Tyler appreciates being in a smaller city that is located right next to the beach. Proficient in science and math, Tyler practices programming and building circuits, his current dream involving electrical engineering and robotics. He strives towards his big dream of one day attending an Ivy League University, always learning and improving.
