Emily van Deinse is a Foothill sophomore and a first-year News writer for the Foothill Dragon Press. She is a girl of many hobbies; from ballet, reading and working at a cat shelter on Sundays, Emily is never bored. When she isn’t doing activities outside of school she can be found attending her favorite classes: BiosScience, art, math and without a doubt journalism. When she finds time between all of her other activities, she religiously watches Sherlock and collects quarters. Emily’s quarter collection consists of all the states and national parks, as well as some miscellaneous ones from Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Mount Rushmore and the Great Smoky Mountains to name a few. She aspires to someday work as an environmentalist, physical therapist or a children’s author. Emily lives by a saying, “Anything is possible for one who believes.”
