While it’s only Nathaniel “Nate” Frazier’s ‘27 sophomore year at Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech), it’s quite clear that he has already made a powerful mark on campus. With a strong passion for style, firm dedication to countless school programs and determined drive to work hard, Frazier has excelled in his classes, becoming a strong asset to Foothill Tech.
From the beginning, Frazier was drawn to Foothill Tech because of its “small campus [yet] big sense of community.” He expressed that his desire to attend came from his father, Justin Frazier who has been an Art teacher at Foothill Tech for 19 years. He also wanted to go to Foothill Tech because of the superb academics and pleasing campus. Frazier is currently in three major programs at Foothill Tech with a great impact in all of them.
After only one year in yearbook, it is quite clear that Frazier has taken a particular liking for the class. He is a photographer, responsible for capturing what Foothill Tech is about and expressed his enjoyment for photography. Frazier simply says, “I love taking photos.”
Another program that Frazier is an active member of is the Associated Student Body (ASB). “I’ve been a part of my school’s ASB since seventh grade and I’ve always loved ASB [because of] the leadership,” Frazier said. He has found the class gives a great sense of community and especially as the Sophomore Class Vice-President, loves forming special connections with the other students.
Frazier is a member of the Bioscience Academy as the Bonding Director for his class. This program has really helped him channel his drive for the medical field as a doctor. He expressed that he “absolutely loves Bioscience” particularly the “hands on activities.” He shared his love for his peers in the class and his joy that he was able to meet an immense amount of new people.

In terms of his career, Frazier stated “I want to be a doctor and that’s why Bioscience is great.” His grandfather is a doctor and owns an office which he hopes to work at later in life. He talked about his immediate draw to the medical field, hoping to “help people.” He opened up, talking about how his mother has type one diabetes, so he would really want to find a way to help “cure it” or at least “learn about it.”
Aside from his academics, Frazier has always been particularly excited about fashion. “I think clothes are a perfect way for you to express yourself,” Frazier stated, feeling that “someone with a nice outfit is going to come across more confident.” He also went into depth about the abstract side of fashion. “Clothing is a form of art and a way to be creative,” he added. Frazier values his outfits and clothes, which help him express himself in a unique and interesting way.
Frazier has already established quite a presence on Foothill Tech’s campus with a great amount of participation and a confident demeanor. He concluded by advising incoming freshmen and anyone still navigating Foothill Tech to “get involved [with] programs … It’s your freshman year [so] try it out and see what you like.”
