Rhea Gill ‘25, the President-elect of ASB for the 2023-24 school year, gave an inaugural speech on March 1 featuring her presidency, her plan for next year and her excitement for the new position.

The other newly elected members are Joshua Gelman as Vice President, Serena Martinez as Senior Class President, Max Fielder as Junior Class President, Miranda Aguilar as Junior Class Vice President and Naomi Schwartz as Sophomore Class President.

Gill expressed in her inauguration speech that “My main objective as your ASB president is to give back Foothill what it has given me.” Gill continued to explain how at Foothill Tech she has “received education, friendships and an exponential amount of joy.”

Gill continued on by explaining “As an act of giving back, I would like to serve our community and its culture by fortifying the six R’s [relationships, recognition, respect, reinforcement, rewards and results] of Foothill into our daily lives, reinforcing academic and extracurricular excellence through recognition and helping ASB committees to plan events that boosts our overall morale.”

With the newly elected candidates ready for next year, students will have the opportunity to enjoy the next school year under the leadership of Gill and the others elected. “With my new responsibility comes power, and with this power I have received, I will bring notice and understanding to every individual at Foothill,” finished Gill.
