As love filled the air of Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) during Kindness Week, which began on Feb. 14 and ended on Feb. 17, 2023, students performed acts of kindness and were rewarded with fun activities. One of the activities that stood out to me was the “Be Kind To Yourself Day,” which consisted of face masks and nail polish on the tables on the stage.

I realized that people often express love for others, but forget to love themselves. So with that in mind, I decided to interview Foothill Tech staff members and students and simply ask what they love about themselves. For some, this question was a no brainer, for others, it was a more difficult task. This video presents how a variety of Foothill Tech students and staff responded, and hopefully their answers will allow you to add to or change your perspective on self-love.
