On Thursday, May 10, the Foothill Tech boys’ volleyball team’s season came to an end after competing against the number-one seeded Downey High School. In the second round of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Playoffs, the Dragons lost 3-0 to the Vikings with set scores of 25-16, 25-16 and 25-21.
Dylan More ‘18 feels that his team didn’t play as strong as they could have, and that their “hitting and blocking wasn’t the best.”
“I can’t complain about our season,” More said. “We came out 14-0 league champs, so I was stoked on that. The team was like one big family.”
Miles Harvey ’19 was “satisfied with the season as a whole,” and recognized that they played a very good team, “considering the size of their school and their ranking.”
“Over the last few years leading up to this, the team has really grown and bonded together and there isn’t really another way I would’ve had it this season,” Harvey said.
The team finished 22-7 overall and will graduate eight seniors.
