The Foothill varsity boys’ basketball team played against Malibu High School on Monday in their second league game of the season. The team lost by 38 points with final a score of 72-34.
Coach Prophet believes that the team can still make improvements on being more on the ball when in a game situation.
“We need to work on being more aggressive and making surer passes,” said Prophet.
Prophet believes that there was a big problem in tonight’s game in that the team wasn’t protecting the ball well on offense.
“[There were] too many turnovers tonight,” said Prophet.
The leading scorers of the game were sophomore Dale Starr with 12 points and senior Nick Vaughan with nine points.
In the Frontier league the team has had one win and one loss, and overall the team has had one win and three losses.
The team’s next game will be Jan. 21 on their home court at Ventura College against Grace Brethren High School.
