Foothill girls’ basketball played against Carpinteria High School on Thursday and finished victorious with a final score of 36-33.
Coach Jason Edgmond believes that the team could still work on getting through the opposing teams defense, and need improvement on their offense.
“We need to improve on breaking the press, [a defense play] and protecting the ball on offense,” said Edgmond.
Besides the things that they need to work on, Edgmond was satisfied with the way the team performed.
“The girls play good team basketball and they do a great job on the press, especially in the fourth quarter,” said Edgmond.
Overall, Edgmond is also happy with the friendships the team has created and how it has improved their teamwork.
“The team is very unselfish, they play with a lot of passion and they are improving each game,” he said.
The team’s next game is an away game on January 9 against Santa Paula High School.
