Ghosts, spirits, and traveling between the living and dead worlds will haunt you long after you watch “Insidious: Chapter 2.”
“Insidious: Chapter 2” is the story of a family that is haunted by an evil spirit who possesses one of the family members. The spirit follows them from home to home and tries to murder the family.
This sequel to “Insidious” answers many questions purposely left out in the previous movie and creatively ties everything together in one nice package for the audience. “Insidious: Chapter 2,” which was released on Friday, September 13, does a good job of going back to old scenes of the movie but also bringing in new surprises of its own.
“Insidious: Chapter 2” stars Patrick Wilson as Josh Lambert, a father who is possessed by an evil spirit trying to commit murders. Rose Byrne plays the frightened mother who is constantly haunted by ghosts and other demon spirits.
Dalton, the young boy who can travel from the dead world to the living, is played by Ty Simpkins.
“Insidious: Chapter 2” does a great job building suspense with deep musical tracks that draw in the viewer. It also has shock scenes with unexpected pop-outs and scary cutscenes.
The plot in this movie may follow basic horror movie standards with its rather predictable ending, but it goes through interesting and unexpected twists and turns to get there. It constantly ties its scenes together with old ones from the first “Insidious.”
“Insidious: Chapter 2” has all the components of a good scary movie, the plot twists and ties are awesome, the storyline is fun to follow, and the constant scary scenes and eerie situations give the viewers scares that satisfy.
