The Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) girls tennis team took to the 2024 season with vigor after the previous 2023 season, where they placed third in league. The 2024 season concluded with an overall record of 2-10 and a league record of 1-7.
The Dragons were senior heavy this year with multiple players having spent all four years playing for Foothill Tech. The seniors Aditi Shanbhag ‘25, Rhea Gill ’25, Julia Geib ’25, Ryan Alderman ’25 and Vivian Ryan ’25 offered leadership for the next batch of Dragons, making sure the program is in good hands moving forward.
Foothill Tech’s season came to an end at League Finals where only one duo would qualify and have a chance to earn their way into the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) postseason. That double made up of Geib and Ryan would ultimately fall short of reaching the CIF postseason, ending their season as the League Finals runner-ups.
