As the school year winds down, catch the latest episode of Dragon’s Digest. Class of 2025 has just 30 days left of school. Make the most of the remainder of the year as summer approaches. News updates include coverage of the Hands Off protest in Ventura, the recent campus blood drive and D-Tech’s Entree to Employment. Upcoming events include the “Mean Girls” play, Prom and Air Guitar. Spring sports are in full swing—good luck to all athletes preparing for senior nights and CIF competition. Stay tuned for continued sports coverage throughout the season. On the warm sunny day of April 9, 2025 Foothill Technology high school's (Foothill Tech) Associated Student Body (ASB) hosted their annual Seniors Only Academic Rally (SOAR). Pictured here is ASB seniors Lauren Fossati '25, Rhea Gill '25, Jack Merritt '25, Jaden Abara '25 and Hailey Hall '25 dressed as characters from Nickelodeons Teenage mutant ninja turtles to fit the theme of Nickelodeon's Kids choice awards. These ASB members were hosting this rally and being honored for all their hard work by receiving their chords for graduation.
Seniors step into the spotlight at the annual senior “SOAR” rally
A Minecraft movie. A new take on an old game. This movie had many jokes and surprising turns that led to a great feel and watch. This movie features Jack Black as Steve, Jason Momoa as Garett, Emma Myers as Natalie, Sebastian Eugene Hansen as Henry and Danielle Brooks as Dawn. This action adventure movie received a rating of 46% on rotten tomatoes and a 6/10 on IMDb. The true interest that surrounded this movie was the online hype. Many clips from opening day were released showing people yelling quotes from the movie, ¨chicken jockey¨. ¨flint and steel¨, ¨I am Steve¨, and throwing popcorn as well. The excitement was tangible.
“A Minecraft Movie”: "A chaotic, blocky blast that somehow works"
In San Diego Calif., off the coast of La Jolla, many sea lions are seen lying on the beach. Normally, one would look at these animals and think they're just sleeping or resting. However, after taking a closer look, it was clear to see that the behavior of these sea lions were anything but normal. Many were swaying, hyperventilating and even becoming violent. As a result, residents and tourists have needed to call animal control and marine-life services on their trip to the beach.

Boys tennis triumphs against cross-town rivals
In mid-March, Makenna Koffee Company opened their latest store on 4960 Telephone Rd. Open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., this rare jewel of a cafe offers many unique and delicious drinks. Their unique Maui Milk, a creamy and incredibly sweet milk that is added to most drinks sets Makenna apart from many other coffee companies.

On April 5, 2025, a series of nearly 1,400 protests against the Trump administration, took place across the nation. These protests focused on cuts to the Department of Veteran Affairs, low taxation of billionaires, abortion rights, changes to schools integration of DEI classes and more. In short, these protests demanded the government take their "Hands Off" these issues.
