Karie Portillo is currently a senior and is in her first year at the Dragon Press. Writing and searching for ground- breaking news stories is what she loves to do and she hopes to have a career in the Journalism field in the near future. Karie hopes to further her skills in the field of Journalism by continuing her education in college in the coming year. Writing, reading, dancing and going to the beach are the things that keep her happy as well as concerts and traveling. Learning about different cultures and traditions is also one of her favorite pastimes . Karie’s goal for this year in journalism is to provide the truth for the community in a tasteful and well written manner.
